WHY LEARN SPANISH IN GRANADA WITH US
What sets La Escuelita apart is a wealth of experience with a personal approach.
Cristina has been teaching languages for over 30 years. Before moving back to her hometown Granada, she was the lecturer for Spanish at the University of Lancaster in the UK. Now, with the support of her daughter and son-in-law, she is ready to welcome new students to La Escuelita.
Louisa grew up mostly in the UK, but always loved holidays in Granada to visit family and friends. She grew up with English, Spanish and German so naturally has a passion for languages and travel. She also studied Arabic at University and loves how Granada is intertwined with Moorish culture and Islamic architecture.
Dean took some convincing to move to Spain in the beginning. Once in Granada, he did 3 months of intensive Spanish classes to kick-start his new life in Spain. Having gone through the process of learning Spanish from scratch he has experienced first hand the challenges of learning a language and knows what a new student is looking for.
OUR PHILOSOPHY TOWARDS LEARNING SPANISH
We believe that the best way to learn a language is to live in the country and practice speaking as much as possible.
When you learn a language your main goal is COMMUNICATION. Did you come out of that shop with the oranges you wanted? Excellent! Did you make any mistakes when you spoke? Don’t worry!
Our approach to the process of learning is to give you the confidence to SPEAK. Of course, learning the grammar is an important part, but it should be there to support communication and not the other way around.
We provide an engaging environment so you can freely practice what you are learning and grow confident in your knowledge of the material covered. Learning Spanish should be a fun process and we want each of our students to leave with an experience to remember as well as progressing on their Spanish journey.
